About the Story
One night, Briana (A Star for You's author), was awakened with a phrase stuck in her head. "No one knows that the stars are just a reflection of My glory."
Intrigued, she launched into months of research and pondering prayer. With a healthy dose of holy curiosity she connected the dots between facts on stars, and God's family. The cosmic and the personal all wrapped up together in majesty and mystery.
From this posture of awe and wonder the story “A Star for You” was written.
About the Illustrations
Kristin Joy (A Star for You's illustrator) has long revered the night sky so she jumped at the opportunity to co-create this starry story. She used deep rich hues, ethereal landscapes, and expansive skies to stir the imagination. Curious children draw us into the heart of something eternal yet personal; and a vibrantly alive ribbon weaves through the story--- pointing to God’s presence and purpose throughout.
Kristin Joy's hope is that the illustrations would expand the story, sweeping the reader up into the wonder of being deeply and eternally known by God, named and called just like the stars shining above us.

About the Author
Briana Elizabeth Taylor is an author and artist who loves to find new ways to convey old truths. Mostly she does this through oil paint, collage, and words.
A Star for You is her second book, the first being The Fullness of Time Collection which chronicles the creation of her collection of paintings by the same name.

Kristin Joy Taylor is an illustrator and artist who feels God’s pleasure when she paints. She makes meaning of her world through watercolor and worship, a combination that leads to a playful, expressive and whimsical style. She also ends up with her paintbrush in her coffee cup more often than she would like to admit. A Star for You is her first illustrated book.
